Eco-Uniform

According to Waste Managed (https://www.wastemanaged.co.uk/) approximately 350,000 tonnes of clothing waste are sent to landfill each year.

With this in mind, we are considering how we might offer a service to the parent body that helps to limit the waste sent to landfills and raises a small amount of money for the school, by selling pre-loved school uniform.

Selling Eco-Uniform (pre-loved) to the parent body aligns with a target from our School Development Plan: to continue developing a sustainable school environment.

As you will know, we have recently changed all our lighting to LED lighting that works via sensors. This helps to reduce the amount of money we spend on electricity, reducing our carbon footprint.

In addition, we have recently replaced the playground fences with hedging to build a more diverse habitat for the wildlife that lives on our school site.

We already have some uniform that is ready for sale, but we would be keen to add to this and are asking for your help.

If you have uniform that is in good condition (jumpers, cardigans, skirts, trousers, PE hoodies, PE joggers) that you no longer need, we would be most grateful if you could wash and iron them and drop them into the school office so that we can rehome them with another family.

We will email the parent body to explain how to purchase this (via School Gateway), and then the item you have ordered will be sent home with your child.
